Matt Gisoni serves as Vice President — Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Operational Excellence of St. Louis-based Spartech, an engineered materials solutions company. Spartech is dedicated to developing results that are sustainable, diverse, reliable and bring innovation to real-world applications.
Gisoni has been a member of the Spartech team for more than 30 years. He began his career in an engineering role with Spartech Corporation (now PolyOne Designed Structures and Solutions LLC) to support the design and construction of a new compounding facility in Michigan. From there, Gisoni held various engineering and management roles in process engineering, quality, technical, maintenance, and logistics before being promoted to Plant Manager. He held Plant Manager roles from 1998—2010 across two manufacturing sites, and in 2003 Gisoni was named Plant Manager of the Year.
In 2011, Gisoni built the supply chain organization for Spartech’s Color and Specialty Compounds division. As part of this project, he centralized raw material planning and scheduling and helped create an effective Sales and Operations Planning process. He served as the project lead for the successful integration of both the Granby, QC and Wichita, KS facilities into existing Spartech manufacturing locations. Gisoni also acted as the Business Master Data Team Lead for SAP implementation across all of the Spartech manufacturing locations. He is a proven Project and Process Engineering lead, having overseen major capital projects and key operational performance metrics.
Gisoni was named Director, Supply Chain and Sourcing in 2017. In this role, he successfully decentralized raw material and finished good planning, reduced costs through more effective procurement, drove supplier accountability, improved inventory management, and drove low cost material utilization. Gisoni was named to the 2019 Circle of Champions and promoted to Vice President, Supply Chain and Sourcing in 2020. In 2022, he was named Vice President - Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Operational Excellence.
Gisoni holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
