Polymer EVA
Polymer EVA
What It Is & Characteristics
Flexible, lightweight amorphous copolymer that has low temperature toughness.
Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a copolymer of ethylene and a vinyl acetate. EVA is a very elastic, tough thermoplastic resin that is processed like other resins. EVA has exceptional low temperature toughness and resistance to stress cracking. The properties of EVA can be tweaked by adjusting the vinyl acetate content. As vinyl acetate levels are increased, EVA becomes more rubber-like.
Typical Uses
Because EVA can have varied properties it can be used in many ways as well. One of the most prevalent would be in footwear (flip flops/Crocs) while other applications are in food packaging and automotive flooring.
Sustainability. The Key To Future Value.
We have placed sustainability, environment, social and governance (ESG) issues at the very center of our focus. Not simply to comply with regulations and standards, but to drive true change that transforms tomorrow. This, we believe, is how real value is created.
